Hiya Bowlerman, glad you joined us! Picked up a 1875 Trapdoor this week, stock is really sound, I suspect it is a "Bannerman" cut down from a rifle due to the markings.
If you can find a grip called the American Classic by Pachmayr, it might help. Still fairly narrow but has a wood backstrap and rubber up front, it can help those "rowdy" little guns.
Just a really fun play yesterday in the Astro/Cards game. Siri of the Astros nearly gets caught off base by Yadier Molina but gets back safe, then wags his finger at Yadi. Mistake. Two pitches later he tries to steal Second and Molina throws him out by about 10 feet! Don't mess with veterans...
Last night I stumbled across some Youtube videos with people who had never seen "Who's on First", they are called reveal videos and the folks reaction was priceless.
Yup, the Cubbies made some decisions that have me scratching my head. Now if my Cards can get their pitching staff consistent, I will feel a lot more confident.
I hear ya Rats. Retired from IL Dept of Corrections after 26+ years. Stabbed twice, scalded 4 times, etc. Last 13 years worked High Risk Parole unit, don't miss the job at all, but worked with some great folks.
It was seized from a convicted felon [it and about 12 other guns] and then disposed of. No markings to be found, I suspect it is a Chinese copy of someone else's design. Decent sights and ridiculously accurate.
The airguns are certainly to be enjoyed. I have a mystery one that still does the job and will be called upon soon to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders.
