So now the mildew smell is gone, but does it smell like vinegar now ?
Vinegar is one of the many smells that is guaranteed to make me throw up 100% of the time.
Btw this is a cool jacket that's definitely worth the effort.
I've been wearing USGI M81 woodland camo on my head every single say since I was 12 years old, and will probably have a USGI patrol cap or USGI boonie in M81 woodland on my head when I die hopefully at the age of 100.
I have a few other hats that I wear for certain things, but I'm building up a...
I personally think that an M-65 in your tag size can be considered a subjectively well fitting jacket for an m65 as long as the sleeves aren't too short or something, an m-65 isn't a cross zip or a cafe racer after all.
This is just my opinion, but in that picture Statham looks like he's...
I'm a wranglers guy myself, I expect you'd be perfectly happy with an 80's wrangler sherp but if ton says the 70's examples were best I'd trust him.
I may have to get one some day to compare to my 80's example.
That Sears looks like a great jacket, the hand pockets aren't where / how I like them...
I am not an expert, but I will tell you that for the price you payed all that matters is whether you like it and whether it fits.
To me It looks like a good quality jacket in excellent condition, I don't know what the 60 EU is in USD but If I was looking for a jacket like this I'd have no...
Nothing right now but am looking for a specific jacket.
The particular jacket I'm looking for is a 1960's Woolrich style 23001 just like this like new example that sold a couple years ago.
I already have one but it's a size too big and has tons of pilling.
This was the first vintage jacket...
I've been wearing my custom shop Jim Green Vellies just about every day for going on 3 months now and couldn't be happier with them.
They're very comfortable, and the leather looks quite a bit better than they did when new.
They're just my casual everyday shoes so I don't abuse them, but...
I think you just have to accept the m65 for what it is and judge whether the jacket fits good for and m65, many types of jacket just don't fit and wear like a leather jacket or sports coat.
Same here.
I would buy a new M65 from Golden if they were still making them since they were an official contractor making them in the US, but otherwise that's it and I'd only go official issue.
I have the '77 sew sew styles from my dad pictured previously that I've been abusing since I was a...
I hate to say it, but I believe this vest is too far gone.
The smell nearly went away, then I conditioned it and that somehow brought the smell back.
I just don't think the smell can be dealt with, and the leather side is just too bad looking.
Truth be told it's not really my kind of vest...
I'm thinking about getting a pair of the Perry selects since they're on sale, they're $310 while my Thorogood 6201's were a around $265 shipped when I bought them for work about 2 years ago so the major step up in quality is only $45
I'm limited to rack sizing, and need to know how the whites...
Just this deerskin vest for today.
When I got this thing back in December it quickly became one of my favorite vests, I love the look and fit and it's extremely comfortable.
I have other vest that feel just snug enough to make me want to unbutton them when I sit down but not this one.
I carry this little brass AAA lumintop light.
It's been in my pocket everyday for almost 3 years now without issue, and I've dropped it more times than I can count.
At about 80 lumens on high it's not crazy bright, but it's simple / reliable with only 3 brightness modes, and the extremely...
I just remembered about the inner pocket this vest has on the right side, I wasn't sure whether it was factory/ original or not because " leather odyssey "apparently had the ability to tailor and customize things for the customer, but I believe it is factory because the leather and stitching is...
Maybe.
The smell is actually not as strong as the impression I got when it first hit me really, I'll bet if I give it the leaf blower treatment it'll fade a ton and eventually just go away all together.
