Sorry to ignore this thread, I went away for a few days, out into ranch and cowboy country of southern Saskatchewan... Didn't see many fedoras, did see lots of cowboy hats... :)

Last one, this could go on and on... I'll update this one occasionally... A local man, photo taken downtown, he does work on ranches and often also comes into Calgary for arts events...
I do have one I can't wear while driving, but it is rather tall... If I'm driving somewhere it will be in the back of the car and goes on when I park the car... Yes I will do street photography with this... It's one of the cowboy hats I'll wear for our annual Calgary Stampede week...

I only have two or three hats that are true vintage, the rest are more recent, I only purchase locally... I don't have a hit list of specific ones I'm looking for, just what I find in my travels, I have purchased some through a flea market I frequent quite often...
Just found this forum by accident through a websearch last night... I'm an avid hat collector here in western Canada, Calgary to be exact... Yesterday at a local collectable show I acquired a vintage Dobbs long oval, one made in Canada by license... I am now well over 10 hats in my personal...
The last time I had to buy a new car three years ago I went car shopping with my cowboy hat on (yes I wear fedora's as well), since I was looking for a smaller sized car... After trying to squeeze into a friend's Honda Civic with a hat on, unsuccessfully, I knew that would become one criteria...
