Zowie!! That did fetch a pretty penny indeed. It is rare, at least for me anyway, to find a vintage suit in that size. I must be looking in the wrong places.
Cheers!

Why thank you Lauren, most appreciated. That was a great trip to Disneyland. We'll be doing another trip there in December and I hope to get more of a "It's a Wonderful Life" look to some of the photos with all of the Christmas decorations around. Here are a couple more of my B! Wear Gatsby Cap...
Classic canvas deck shoes. They are comfortable and versatile. You'll see them in many of the classic Hollywood publicity photos from the 30's & 40's and they are still made today.
Cheers!

Thank you Daniel. I would like to see them. Are the lenses the dark amber or the gray/green color? I find the dark amber lenses very versatile in different lighting conditions. Thanks again.
Cheers!

Vintage Sunglasses -Merged Thread-
Unfortunately for me my eyes are quite light sensitive so I'm always wearing sunglasses outside even with a hat on. An accident cooked my eyes so theyre open a little wider than they should be. makes it great for my night vision though. :)
Does anybody...
A little manipulation by gentile smashing will loosen it up, but if like Fedoralover said, if the felt is inferior the stiffener is the only thing holding the shape. Just crumple it up a bit and then push it back into it's shape a few times, that should do the trick. Then use just a little steam...
Biltmore Bob: I got mine about three weeks ago. Ken had somone cancel an order just about the time I e-mailed him, so he sent it out. It didn't take long to ship either. The hat fit like it was meant for my mellon. One of those meant to be things I guess. Good service all the way around with...
Pictures are a good thing. I take it the folks of your city are intolerant because of the history factor of that era? Shame really. It's not the clothes that made the history. Ah well, We must work around such things and do the things we love to do within reason. Take care, hope you find the...
Welcome Eliot! If there ever was a place to compile that look this is the one. Keep looking and asking and you'll find whatever you're searching for. I'll be sure to keep a weather eye out for you.

Great photos Big Man! I can never get enough of the past. Especially seeing the 1930's & 1940's. I never leave the house with out my fedora or Gatsby cap. Seem to feel incomplete without one anymore, and a ball cap just doesnt cut it. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

Great picture y'all! Might I intrude with a few? These are at Disneyland and I'm wearing a Peters Brothers Straw. It has a nice flair for the summer.

Good looking Open Road Fedoralover! Love the color. I've been waiting for one on ebay in my size to pounce on but the pricing for those seem to skyrocket once I put a bid in. Go figure. I've been trying to find one to be able to shape it into Jeff Bridges hat in Seabiscuit. :)
Great deal you...
Here are a few offerings of my new Camptown. This is another that I just enjoy wearing. It's one of those things that is just plain comfortable right out of the box, but there is some shaping required. ;) I have to say I enjoyed shaping this one. Very easy to work with. Jersey Jones (Ken) puts...
Hello all!
Here is one of my new acquisitions. The brown small tweed cap from B! Wear. I gotta say, I love this cap. Beats wearing a baseball cap any day. Here are a few photos. Enjoy.

Homburgs...
Have you tried sites like Hats in the Belfry, Dad's Hats or even The Village had shop. I've seen some of their varity. Some loos passable, others are the wool that may not work. I believe Christies still makes a Homburg. Just some thoughts.
Cheers!

JP, I'm not sure if it is milan or not. What I do know is the weave is quite loose so it allows the breeze to flow through but tight enough to shade ones mellon. The crown I had to reshape because the center bash it came with made the crown look way too tall. It almost had the Abe Lincoln to hat...
