We wouldn't have anything to say about the value of it without any photos of the hat. As for sizing, hats can be stretched a size up or two with a hat stretcher, but it's a ghetto fix I would highly advise against with vintage hats (especially in this case, where the hat is +100 years old). "Knapp" Black Wingtips/Brogues
Well, for a first pair of brogues I would recommend a shade of brown (chestnut, dark, mid-brown, etc.). Much more versatile than black. Though if you're still in the market for a black pair, that pair might be fine for a first, and I do know that Knapp made some fantastic shoes in the 30s and 40s- MondoFW
