Just picked this up on eBay . It reminded me of a cross between a stratoliner(crown and bound edge) and playboy (ribbon).
Any idea what it is?
Too small for mre (6-7/8). I'm a 7 to 7-1/8. Will try to give it a stretch and good cleaning.
of course a different color vest can be worn. personally i think the contrast looks better than having a matching vest! the only time i prefer a matching vest is when i decide to go coatless and wear the vest alone with the pants.
i have a light gray versace vest with subtle white pinstripes...
emulating a time period is fine, but that doesn't mean everything from that period looked good to begin with.
shorter ties? that may look okay on a slender fellow, but tie bottom to top of waistline seems to look better on most people. slimmer ties look great. i like them much better...

for the $300 i paid, it's very worth it. they followed my instructions to a tee on everything aside from the chest pocket.
everything fits snug and perfect just how i wanted it, and the list of details i gave them were interpreted very well...
i had problems with a dent on the back of my head after wearing my fedora for over 30 minutes. sometimes it even developed into a split and made it look as if i was balding at the crown.
i have regular combed/brushed back hair about 2-3 inches in length. the sides are proportionately cut...
around what time did you order your suit? perhaps the people having problems with odd cuts (more fabric on one side than the other, too baggy, etc..) ordered during a period where they were having some quality control issues
edit: i also remember someone mentioning they go in and ninja alter...
