    Jan, how thick and heavy is their goat skin? Do you have any idea of the ounce weight? or some way I could equate it to their steer or FQHH? Im looking for something that would be seriously thick, but not as stiff as the steer. Something to use as a springtime jacket. Any ideas?

    I've determined it comes down to personal opinion and opinion only. After talking with manufacturers, especially Aero and hearing their opinions, Im convinced that the horsehide / steerhide debate is simply a battle of personal preference and nothing more.

    What is B-3 Jacket temperature comfort range?

    I believe they use the same fleece, it may end up being warmer,as it has more overlays. I have my B3/ANJ4 cross completely overlayed in 3.5oz horse hide and it is MUCH warmer than when it was just the sheepskin with a few overlays.

    I designed the collar to mirror the collar on my B3/ANJ4 cross which I absolutely love. Problem is that I did not realize the mouton wouldnt be thick enough to keep any sort of shape like the sheepskin does. I think it will be perfect when cut down by 3", but I do love my huge collars.
