Man this one hurts. This has been the jewel in my collection. I’ve been saying I’m really committed to wearing the ones I pick up and actually wear. This one I just don’t wear as much. It deserves a home where it gets worn or gets displayed properly. This is one of the epitome top of the top...
So about 2-3 years ago now the tannery that was making leathers for Vanson burned down. They only this last year found a new permanent tannery for their needs and it closed during the first lockdowns. As in forever. Haven’t spoken to them since they may have found a new tannery but last I heard...
Although I have to say hearing all this great talk in Bronsons favor means probably some time after all the holiday spending I will get the B-15A they make. It’s 189.00 versus BRs 600+. The cost varies depending on how much time and effort you want to put into tracking them down or buying used...
The only reason I haven’t ordered anything from Bronson yet is their lack of choices. I mean they have an extensive line of products don’t get me wrong. I’ve just recently gotten into the B-15 jackets and they have a B-15A which I may order and a B-15C but without the collar which I would want...
The few Bronson owners around here seem to love them for the money. I want to get a B-15C from them but they don’t currently sell that model with the fur collar. If they ever do I will be purchasing one.
I would add I would expect BR and RMC to also have better stitching (but better is relative) by which I mean possibly more stitches per inch and laser straight. And of course as I already stated historical accuracy in not only look but things like hardware as mentioned zippers and buttons...

From my very limited knowledge over the last few days as I just took the plunge into the B-15 game and all
The same makers also make the MA-1. From everything I stumbled
Upon it seems BR and RMC make the most accurate and authentic copies. While Alpha makes mostly commercial/fashion these...
You’re right and plenty are proving it. But I don’t think it’s a waste of time because what’s also apparent is there are plenty of users who don’t buy on social media or at the very least prefer a clearly laid out website. So you’re not wrong or anyone else with the same thought. Not at all...
Same. I don’t have IG and don’t know half the new crop of boot/jacket makers because of it. If they don’t have a website I’m less likely to trust them and I’m not going to create an IG account just for them.
Edit for typo
Thought about this. Blue is the one I think goes with more options. My thought was green is still fairly neutral and can work with most things. Though I still give the edge to blue. But blue is a really common color for any B and M styled jackets. Khaki and Sage also very common. But this green...
Yup. They make two different greens. One of which I’m interested in and posted above. The blue pictured. Sage green and black. Sage and black I don’t like. They also make a slim fit blue that comes with a brown collar. I don’t like that one. I posted these two cause these are the ones I narrowed...
Any other opinions on blue v green? Even thought for some odd reason Alpha is calling the green “Navy.” Not that @ton312 ’s opinion isn’t like top of my respect list, it’s not the only one haha.
Lawrence/Rich Sher also make some insanely underrated jackets. Especially their cross-zips I’ve seen. I thought there was a user here who actually owned both a Lawrence and a Rich-Sher. If I remember the Rich-Sher was very highly recommended by them. Was it you possibly @Gamma68 ?
Nice jacket, and thanks for tagging me! Unfortunately I’m a 34 year old man trapped in a 9th-10th grade body haha. I’m only 5’7 and 135lbs. So this one won’t work for me; which is a shame since it’s a bit cheaper and probably a bit warmer....Well, in any case thanks for thinking of me.
That’s the thing there’s only two. Blue and green. The green one looks different in different lighting. It’s apparently the same exact jacket just under different conditions. Which is my hold up. If it always looked forest green that would be my choice hands down. But under other lighting, it...
