...is it fair to assume that a tumbled HH will look/feel pretty close/similar to a battered HH for instance? I really like the way the antique / tumbled brown FQHH looks on screen from Aero's website.
Used to wear black most of the time, pea coats, run-of-the-mill leather jackets, blazers. First Aero was black, 2nd is cordovan, and for some reason, I now fancy the Sheene in FQHH brown... go figure.
Thanks guys. I will start adding a layer, which I guess would be the easy / most common sense way, and see how I deal through winter. Should I feel like 're-work' is needed, I can always approach Aero in the spring.
My first Aero jacket was a black FQHH Barnstormer with a reiver weight Thompson Grey Tartan Lining.
Great fit color-wise imho.. BUT: not very warm. I had decided against the Alpaca lining because I was afraid it might be too itchy. Plus, I really like the tartan and thought the jacket was...
I am wearing standard 38 as well, both suits and jackets. If your suit jacket 38 is a good fit, the 36 slim fit halfbelt might be quite tight. In doubt about the measurements you've given, let Holly give you the sleeve and back lengths of both sizes, might help you make up your mind. In doubt...
Thank you. I took the plunge without any real-life pics but thought the ones on their website were convincing enough. I also wasn't too concerned about the front design to be too busy, but it spices things up a little bit.
I do have a pair of cordovan wingtips but wonder if that's too much cordovan at once. Black should work just fine. Recently purchased these @ Paul Smith, and I intend wearing the good ole Frye boots with this jacket, too.
Thank you -- my first purchase was a black FQHH barnstormer without the belt/loops 2 years ago. Admit I was a bit on guard ordering the slim fit Wayfarer now although this is the look I was after to complement the bigger jacket.
For a split second, when I first put it on out of the box, I thought it might be a hair too tight around the waist zipped up. I need to shed a pound or two there either way. Worn it twice outside now and do know it is right.
