I’ve got to get these out of my apartment. They’re 70 year old cardboard boxes, none of them in great shape, yet it would be a shame to throw them out.
Message me if you want them.
Thanks,
David
Funny. You’d enjoy going to the fest—in addition to the music you can see a lot of amazing locations associated with Bix. they have bands playing in many surviving venues where Bix played, you can see his house and grave.
A wonderful Playboy in much better condition than I thought based on the seller photos. The felt is a dream—so light, so soft and holds a crease with no steam required. A little staining on the ribbon but otherwise beautiful.
Enjoy the weekend!

1961 2 1/4” brim hat from Rogers Peet, a store my dad use to shop at. The hat is made by Palco—it’s my only hat from them and the felt is just wonderful—thick and very soft but really holds a crease beautifully.
Maybe the Morgan Library, JPMorgan or another institutional buyer. Or, yeah, maybe somebody just has a MUCH bigger hat budget than I do. Would look pretty good driving down the block in that $60 million Ferrari they just sold. ;)
Beater sized-up OR. Now that the heat is on in our apartment, several of my hats have tightened up since the last time I wore them. Hoping this stretches a bit today.
