which watch would you choose, and why?
Seiko released a bunch of mechanical watches earlier this year based on the 6R15 movement ... I am looking to get one for Christmas. I have narrowed down my model, but I have a hard time choosing the color ... silver or gold?
If it were upto you, which...
Does anyone here have pics of the USAAF B-1 cap being worn? HPA/Eastman has photos of the cap itself but I have a hard time finding pics of the cap worn by someone ...
thanks in advance ...
DJS, what a great jacket! I just linked your old pics in my previous post and your jacket looks great after only 1 year ... thanks for posting these pics.
Brown FQHH indeed breaks in fantastically ... now I am very eager to see some pics of broken in cordovan jackets.
Thanks for the photos ... your jacket is very beautiful. Are you sure it is cordovan? Your jacket does looks brown with some fantastic reddish tints (esp in the photos of the cuff) to me ... take a look at the pics here:

Gents, been reading about aero jackets here and finally bought one from Aero's ebay store. It was a no brainer for me to choose the Long Half belt (with the three season tartan cotton lining) in FQHH , but I am torn choosing the color. I ike both brown and cordovan colors (infact have an alden...
I watched 'Dark City' over the weekend and the strangers (aliens) in the movie had really cool hats:

What kind of hats are they wearing, esp the one in the front?
The watch came in the mail yesterday. It is pretty good, but the crown has more patina than what I had in mind ... there are also a couple of scratches on the glass that the seller did not mention. The lettering on the dial is actually golden colored (that is fading) and not black ... this...
Thanks!
Ooh, me too. I love old watches ... most new ones are too utilitarian and somehow lack the 'warmth' that you instantly see in watches 30-40 years old. You gotta start window shopping on ebay, there are plenty of very nice vintage watches at great prices there ...
I am still waiting for it, should be here later this week. the seller said that it runs fantastic and keeps good time. I can't wait to wear it. I particularly love the patina the dial has developed ... from what I found, this particular model is from the late 30s/early 40s.
Won it on the bay ... my father had a very similar watch ages ago (that his father gave him) but sadly lost it on a train ... I remeber this watch so well.
How do you guys like it?
John is easier to catch on the phone and is very very patient with any questions you ask ... and it is great fun to talk to him in person. You clearly see how excited he is with jackets and it is hard not to catch some of that enthusiasm.
whoa, that is a nice jacket! congrats on the purchase ... I don't know enough to identify this jacket, but it does look great ... it has got a nice patina!
