I had numerous bikes for a few years until I could raise the cash to buy:
A Royal Blue 1977 Mini - JVY 694S
She was 9 years old when I bought her in 1986 for £750 (came with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax), but keeping her on the road was crippling for a 19 year old with a heavy right foot...
I'm quite excited today, as my new purchases arrived at the office.
This is my favourite (and most expensive):
and this although I'm not so keen on the colour (I still like it), will also work well I think on days I fancy wearing my brown jacket:
Both are labelled Tootal, and...
It's a very bright and sunny day here in Hull (Kingston upon Hull to give it its proper name). There's hardly a cloud in the sky, but the sun is still very low.
The wide brim of my Ford Fedora (in my avatar) did a great job of keeping the sun out of my eyes as I walked from one our offices...
I guess quality comes at a price. But I might get one new one at some point, and wear it for 'best'
I think that for the most part I'll keep an eye out on The 'Bay, as well as hunting through the local charity shops.
Thanks for the tips, and I've found the Ascots thread now :)
Edward Fox went to Harrow School, and a quick search of Google Images has revealed that those are indeed the Old Harrovian Colours.

I'll have a search and hopefully see you on the other side. Thanks also fot the link I'll spend some time checking that out as well.
I’m fairly new around here, and still finding my way around, so forgive me if I’m posting in the wrong place, or duplicating another thread (which I can’t find)

...Which leads to my question:
Does anyone know of any good IRL hat shops in the UK? For me, ideally in Yorkshire. I would also be interested to know about shops in London as I will undoubtaly be making the anual pilgrimage there over the next few months
Hi Destinys Agent, I'm in a similar position to you (with the same head size).
I was torn between the Jaxon C Crown and the Jaxon Ford Fedora as my first hat. In the end I went for the Ford Fedora (in my avatar). I assume, like me, that you bought the medium size, and it does feel very light...
My new acquisition arrived today:
It's a Gangster Fedora, made by Christys, and supplied by Village Hats. I bought it online on their UK site, and once again I'm really pleased with my purchase.
This one cost me £56 (not sure what that is in $US), but compared to other outlets it seems like...
