Well, it’s here and is everything I hoped it would be. The fit is perfect.
As Gustave Flaubert would say: ‘Le bon Dieu est dans le detail' (God is in the details). If that is true then He must be in this Hat because the attention to detail is beyond compare.

Mink oil
I have always used Mink oil with good results untill recently I had a OR band turn into a drid apple peal.:eek: :eek:
I figured the seller had used something on it prior to selling???

I had this hat and two other with small opening bids, but with the Victory of THE STETSON ONE-HUNDRED I had to watch them go.
A few more Pyrrhic victorys like the "100" & the OR Deluxe and I and my Hats will be living in the Truck;) ;) ;)

To say I'm not proud would be a lie. From the little information I can find on the web it would appear that the hat was sold in either the 30's ?? or 50's for $100 ( or 2 weeks pay in the 50's)
I hope the Dinerman, Matt, Carter, Art or any of the rest of you can help me...

Thanks for the kind words. I decided that the chances of finding a "STETSON 100" in a 7 5/8's in Good Condition was approx 1/500,000. So with that in mind I decided to own it...
