You are right, there is no way it can be an Eastman jacket regarding the timeline.
However, mine looks very similar to the picture and I can still recommend it in that sense.
I think I recall I got a kind of picture card from Eastman when I bought my A2 there, showing McQueen in the Great Escape and claiming that he wore an Eastman jacket.

Bashes / Creases
Hi Fellows,
for whatever reason (prob. too new) the "hat creases" thread seems to be the only one I am not allowed to access.
Since my new Fed IV is due to arrive in the next days I'd like to ask if somebody knows a URL where one can see the different bashes / creases...
Funny thing, that haggis. Once had one in Edinburgh in a pub on grass market. I think it was called the Last Drop.
Found it delicious but when I try to recommend it to other fellows traveling to Scotland I am always offended as someone eating "stuff, the wolf left over from a stolen sheep...
I followed your advices and had a delicious FL inspired picknick these days.
Shooter sandwich (thanks for the link Puzzicato), Scottisch Eggs and Clubsandwiches. Drinks were Martini and Champagne.
Absolutely great. :eusa_clap
I'm afraid Mav, regarding Mexican beer, I do only get Corona here and Desperados, which is actually brewed in France.
I like Köstritzer for example.

Hello fellows,
I am very fond of very hot, yet tasty, food. I wonder what suggestions the experienced fire-eaters of you might have regarding the drinks?
Until now, I serve Chili, hot stews and such with heavy red wine, preferred Spanish ones or Bordeaux.
For more barbeque oriented events...
I looked it up. The spanish Brandy is aged in oak barrels, mostly amerikan stoneoak previously used for sherry.
The Solero Gran Reserva undergoes a very special aging process, going through different barrels every year and so on.
Talking about Calvados you are coming to another good one that we...
lol, getting up frequently is also a good way to feel you had enough.
Puzzicato, I have to step in for Brandy. If you wanna try one from Spain and take care that it's grade 'Solera Reserva' or even 'Solera Gran Reserva' you'll find it to be a real alternative to Single Malts from time to time...
I think regular nailed boots are not really advisable for the mountains (unless you are not climbing and stay on paths).
There are special nails, but the regular ones were invented to reduce wear of the soles on military boots on long marches as far as I know.
In fact I have nailed boots for...
Thanks for the link. I'll try it on sunday.
The lowest temperature I can achieve seems to be around 110 C° and I think I have some hickory chips left.
We'll see.

Mike, its an AutoCamp made of canvas and quite old too. The company still exists and builds them the same way though. They are close to Munich, the URL is www.autocamp.de if somebody is interested.
I was very happy with this tent, bought it used and sold it after years of use for nearly the...
You see these kind of tents a lot in north Afrika. Desert drivers love them because the sand goes through beneath them and you can easily camp on any rocky surface.
Here's mine:

Good to see that with all the different flavors we have here, still common sense is ruling.
I just bought an original set of cutlery of the 20's for my picnic set (5 Euros) even though somebody mights have had it in his mouth frequently. ;)
Why stick with modern copies when originals are so...
