I LIVE for this time of year (well that and the wife). I pore over every sports website, newspaper/magazine article, and season preview annuals as if they had the unification theory encoded in them. I'll spend hours/days/weeks comparing team depth charts, roster changes, coaching staffs...
I actually saw this over the weekend. I read the comic back int the 80's and loved it. Having heard the writer Allen Moore despised the movie version and refused to have his name on the credits I went into the film with some trepidation but was quite pleased with how good it was. Not the best...
I came upon a Daniel Knaupf interview a month or two back and he gave the basic outline of how season three was going to start (had the nimrods at HBO not canceled the show). I don't remember a whole lot of what he said but I do remember it takes place during the onset of WWII about five years...

I'd go with
1. To Be or Not to Be- Jack Benny had perfect delivery
2. The Seven Little Foys- Bob Hope singing voice is highly under appreciated
3. Shane- a perfect western
4. Cool Hand Luke- my all time fave anti-hero
5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail- I will forever...
