I miss the drive-ins. :( When I was a kid, we used to pack up the '69 Ford wagon with sodas and grocery bags of popcorn. The back seat was always full of "popcornivores". Our drive-ins even had playgrounds under the screen. Am I dating myself?
Great link, Michaelson. I still like...
No collecting anything until the barn and addition are complete. The barn will be finished by the end of the month. :D The addition starts this spring.
I really like the deco radios and mantle clocks. Since the move to a smaller (all be it better) place, nothing new is allowed.

My lips are sealed. ;)
There are some places that haven't caught on, yet. It's just a matter of time, though. If/when I were to move somewheres else in CO it would be south or west.
I did real estate appraisals in Ohio for about three years. Moving to Colorado was quite an eye opener...

I am not into the re-enactments. I collect what tickles my fancy.....in a manly sort of way. LOL Way back when, I was quite interested in the mountain man rendezvous and how many went for full period authenticity (right down to the fleas  ). It's sometimes hard to find "stock" firearms...
I haven't been too impressed with Auction Arms, lately. Seems to be a lot of retailers trying to sell stuff.
Not sure if they still do it but CMP used to also give a discount on surplus 30.06 to people who bought through them.
I have a friend (who'da thought  ) that picked up an...
This is the only "cheap" source I know of for Garands. Garands have become popular in recent years and the price has really gone up..

Now, if you want to be on the German side, I know of some inexpensive rifles.LOL
I see the Hilton sisters having about as much effect on our children as Ozzy Osborne, Judas Priest, Marylon Manson or any other fad. Pretty benign. Sadly, shock sells but dissipates quickly.
Going back to the quote from Epictetus, the term "instruct" is what I think is pivotal. There is...
I really don't like that term. How about "whisky elitist"? :D
Interesting that you mentioned cigars and scotch. Personally, a cigar dampens the taste of scotch too much. I'd rather enjoy one or the other but not together. Now, a cigar and good coffee, that's another story. :cool...
Glad to here the good reviews of Trent's work. I still have been unable to make it out to his shop. Then again, I don't get out that direction very often. You are giving me more reasons to make a trip to Greeley. :)
Oh yeah, nice lid! ;)

Would this be the shop in the Haight Ashbury area? If so, I've been in that shop and was quite impressed with the shirts on the wall. The prices were impressive, also.
The shops in the Denver area are filled with clothes from then '60s and' 70s but not much else.

B&B has been a long-time family favorite and is my hands down favorite. It's made with Benedictine and brandy. Nothing better on a cold night in front of a warm fire.
Drambuie ranks #2. This is a Scottish liqueur (hmmm, scotch again) made with scotch and honey. Skip the ice.

I never liked these fortified wines. TOOOOOO sweet. Then again, I'm not a big fan of dessert wines. Maybe a small taste of a German trockenbeerenauslese but only once in a while.
Brad, could the port be Fonseca?
Liqueurs are a different story, though. ;)
