New Aeros: Waterfront, 1940’s Lettermans, Shackleton and ANJ-4

Your ANJ4 does look a tad over-size to me but I have never tried one on and I imagine the last thing you need is a tight fit on one of these jackets.Fantastic selection all round though.

    Himel website updated

I have listened to the Heddel's Himel podcast a few times and as I understand it Dave talks about a new jacket having a commodity value of a weeks wage, presumably back in the 30's or 40's.I guess times have changed but then now what is a weeks wage?I like his re-vamped website but he seems to...

Fringe on an adult leather jacket

@Big J Hi-I had a trip to Japan in 1994-Fantastic but don't recall Nagano. My experience with rain capes is from watching the Seven Samurai more times than I can remember. As for the physics....well,I dont know.If it was good enough for Mifune it's good enough for me.Actually he wears a fantastic...

Fringe on an adult leather jacket

I may have read this at some point-I rather like these jackets but only got as far as reading about them. The fringe might shed water in the same way as Japanese farmers used straw capes as rain wear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckskins Buckskins are often trimmed with a fringe – originally...

Fringe on an adult leather jacket

I read somewhere that the original purpose of the fringe was to shed water off the clothing.

    Psychology: The One

Truthfully I like showing off.I like the notion of hardy well-made period outerwear which might suggest I live that kind of life.I enjoy the retail therapy and knowing that other people enjoy it too.I love the character of leather which is to my mind exemplified by its use in fine jackets.I...

Aero has natural CXL from Horween!!!

Oddly enough I always thought a jacket like a Dustbowl would look great in a natural hide due to the different panels showing a lot of contrast and variation with age.I am spoiled...I have just received a Route66 in black Chromexcel HH....It has blown me away!

    Difference between Aero Motorcycle jackets

It's mostly down to detail and what you prefer in terms of pocket and zipper placement.I don't think that many would ride these days wearing a Grizzly but I certainly would if I owned a pre-war Indian or Harley or Ariel Square 4 or similar.

No I do not suggest that.It has a 44 label and those are the measurements.
