Your hats after you're gone; for the record
i hope to hang on to one for the funeral, but after that my kids can do whatever they may like with them...i suspect, they would remember me when seeing one of these...because they ain't going to get no money !!! What do you use to shave?
your cans of goo may be the problem....solid preparation is a major step in getting a great shave.... Switch to a better soap lile Trumper's rose or Taylor's lavender, QED or mamabear's brand glycerin soap...and work it with a brush.... Make sure you have a good sharp blade, too... mark...- shoeshineboy

Proraso is one of my favorites....for just about 6 or 7 bucks it is really a great shaving soap...you can enhance by using noxema or the walmart equivelant as a pre-shave balm. It will make you lather even slicker !!! For a double edge, i would try the local antique mall...some times you can...- shoeshineboy

for travel, you might try a QED shave stick....it is a glycerin base soap and it very good stuff. check out this thread for the link to qedusa. there not much better than a DE shave....Gillette can talk about having 4 or 5 blades...but what is amusing, what if someone uses the single blade on the backside and discovers that he gets a great shave with only one blade... At the price of cartridges a person can have a greater variety...- shoeshineboy

i used my 1958-1962 gillette non adjustable razor with a isreali personna blade, Taylors luxury cream and a vulfix brush....great shave..no nicks and real smooth even though i was in a rush to get to work.... topped it off with trumpers skin food... if i was only better looking i would be...- shoeshineboy
