AAF decals on A-2 zipper flaps?
That's about how long I've had my 1401 (we have the exact same jacket). I'm seeing scuff wear on the cuffs and seems. Also, some scuff and interesting burnishing on the lower back, above the knits. Overall, the leather is getting some nice creases (back and arms especially). I hit the scuff...- A2_Junkie

AAF decals on A-2 zipper flaps?
Are decals practical? It seems that decals would be pretty inefficient for wartime mass production. My guess is that this may have been a pre-war technique that gave way to the ink stamp on the liner. Just guessing... My RW 1401 doesn't have it and it is supposed to be a pre-war contract...- A2_Junkie

Zippers (Hey SamReu! I haven't been to the Melrose since 1991...on the way home from the bars...) Here is a picture of the Talon zip that was on the ELC RW 27752 that I briefly had (a nice jacket, BTW). It's exactly like the one on my ELC RW 1401 and exactly like the MASH one's BT...- A2_Junkie

The A-2 review
Looks like my zipper I must say that BT posted (http://www.mash-japan.co.jp/cgi-bin/prd.cgi?itemno=95-01-4201) looks EXACTLY like the Talon zipper on my ELC jacket. Even the parts appear to have the same metal finish and the cloth looks identical. I wouldn't be surpised to learn that the...- A2_Junkie
