we planted those big bertha tomatoes last year and they got so big and we had so many that we boiled them down, skinned em, and mashed them up, added some tomato paste, onions, garlic, meats, etc. and it was really good...and much, much lighter on the stomach... so it can be done...perhaps...- SamMarlowPI
