Here's a 1937 dark brown DB by "Scotch Woolen Mills" Chicago. The fabric is really heavy with a faint hint of a red window pane check, this must have been made to order dew to the name tag on inside pocket? Mike- michael78

Hi, pick this up last week, dirt cheap! £12.50....as you can see by the liner, it was retailed by "Barkers of Kensington" who were a major department store in west London from the 1860s to about 1950/60s. There is no markers mark but i presume it was manufactured in Stockport were most of the... -

Hi Steve, i get where your coming from, but to clarify, the hat was made in the UK, probably Stockport.I forgot to post pic of sweatband with "made in England". i've had a close look at Date with a magnifying glass and its definitely a "3". -

Hi chaps, Just acquired this nice Austin Reed grey/blue velour yesterday for a £5....really fortunate, don't think the seller had a clue about hats. It"s stamped 1939 on the inside of the sweatband, not sure if it had a liner originally, any thoughts? Also has an interesting detail to the edge... -
