How to use real vintage phones on your cell phone line

I'll add, I used an Iphone because that's what we have. This setup works with ANY bluetooth phone or carrier. DStuttgen: great phone! I've just got WE500s, but I'm looking at some older ones. That is one of the nicest I've seen.

    Golden Bay Era (Area)

I'm curious too about other spots. Alameda is just about perfect, It was a sleepy and older community for years after the base closed. Recently it's being revitalized and has alot of new spots, and new young couples with children move here. I've taken to telling people I don't really like...

    Another Golden Era theater renovated

heheh, no dress code (but the staff wears cravats and vests). I really ought to go more often to support it. Heck, even just to visit. Good guess! She opened in 1932. So nice to see this town revitalized.

How to use real vintage phones on your cell phone line

I'll add, i just strongarmed ATT into giving us a free 'microcell' base station to correct their horrendous network. It works great, 5 bars everywhere = perfect rotary reception. I see myself doing alot less texting.

    Opinions about Johnnie Walker

Even Rob Roys and Rusty Nails taste better with the right single malt than with the usual blended counterpart. Just more going on to pay attention to.

The Return of the Man's Man

Ha ha, well said. Shifting with the wind with every trend to make yourself more appealing to other people is about as unmanly as it gets.

Miss, Mrs. or Madam? The demise of Ms?

I heard a little kid refer to a vendor as "lady" the other day. As in, "Hey LADY, how much is that candy?" I laughed, what cheek. I knew a guy in school who couldn't remember people's names, so he called everyone he saw "Tiger" and "Johnny Z." Guys and girls both, interchangable. He was a hoot.

[article] Age appropriate dress for men.

If you've ever looked at Vice magazine (mouthpiece of hipsterdom) , they love to trash "preternatural man children.." people who dress like kids long after they shouldn't. Low on their list are, naturally, aging raver moms and bottom of the heap, hip hop guys, with their ill fitting sports...

    The fall of the phone

Yep. With new times come new excuses not to pick up the phone. Low battery, poor reception, in a tunnel, in a meeting, on the bus, etc. Just turn the thing off if you don't want people to reach you.

Most Over-rated Actress of the Golden Era?

Agree 100%. Classic story of a manufactured star (a mobster's girlfriend put into pictures because a studio boss owed a big favor). I think Lizzie's absolutely right, part of the appeal is her untimely death. Also, her connections to people in high places. My fiancee loves her, I find her kind...

The Dumbest Comment I Ever Heard

I get called "professor" occasionally when I walk around with my pipe, my greased hair, a vintage button down, slacks, and wing tips. Alot less now. I used to wait till I was mostly alone to smoke. Then, I found myself carrying my pipes in my jaw even when they'd long gone out. Now I don't even...

A Gentleman's Grooming Question: The Proper Style for Thick, Frizzy Hair?

Lol, when was the last time you saw a black guy with an afro? It's ironic, most of the folks with 'fros I've seen for years now have been of mostly European or or even Asian descent. Most African American men go for very short looks.
