    I should have thought the originals were wool. The one mentioned in Harp's comment 8114 is wool, according to the description. I always make sure any sweater I buy is 100% wool, it's so much, better than cotton or man made fibres.

I notice that tonight, Tuesday 14 Dec 2021, there is a programme on Freeview Channel 32, Smithsonian about HMS Trenchant, A Royal Navy Submarine, I suspect that it may have been on Channel 5 a few months ago and is quite recent.     Interesting, I wonder when they lengthened the sleeves and beck to make it in a Roll Neck. These were used in the RAF & Royal Navy/Submarines.

    Apart from TW Kempton/Outdoor Knitwear, I can not off hand think of anyone else, but you could look at Ebay. I am earing an RAF WP at the moment.

    I Just had a message come through from Out Door Knit Wear to say that they have a new range of lightweight sweaters, merino wool, crew/round necks and roll necks, I may be tempted by the latter, although they are quite expensive.

    They are normally good about changing a sweater if the fit is not quite right, I find them quite accurate. I think it depends on your choice, how long or short you want the roll back cuffs.
