    Favorite Vintage Perfumes

I have only tested the modern EdT (or EdP) and was so disappointed! Shalimar ought to suit me, but I just found it sickly sweet. I need to test the vintage version as I knoe they are usually very different for the better! Could someone please arrange shopping trips to the past? I need to buy...

Is a beret a seasonal hat?

I'm making a 40's wardrobe from the advices of a book from -44. It clearly states that berets are to be worn all year round. :)

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

I find them very easy to work with, but habven't had any trouble with bleeding. I always prep my lips before with foundation and use a lip liner, though.

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

It's a warm, darkish red. Besame Red is more of a red red on the blueish side and Red Hot Red is it's warm twin. :)

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

I can't stand Ruby Woo just because of the dryness, even when I use it with the lip prep from MAC that I was recommneded to use with it. I take Revlon any day over MAC period, when it comes to lipsticks. But I really, really love Besame. I purchased their sample pack a couple of months ago...

The White Stripe: a hair dilemma

I talked that over with my hairdresser when I had my blond streak in and we agreed that it looks like her hair has been painted in darker on the actual photo to make it looks like she has streak. I love mine, btw: The rest of the hair is my natural colour. It has grown out a bit now, but...

    Favorite Vintage Perfumes

It's great fun to try out different ones, but it's an expensive hobby. Broke my heart on vintage Tabac Blond- sooo lovely and way too expensive.

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

A former workmate visited my job a few days ago. Since he quit my 40's style have developed and that day I had my hair in vistory rolls. When he saw me he spontaneously said "Wow, that look really suits you!" This from a person who never were the kind to give out compliments. Made my day!

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

I want to try that one- I really like Revlon's Certainly Red that is a 50's shade as well. I'v heard it being called a dupe for Ruby Woo (it should be the other way around though, as Ceratinly Red was here first) and theough tehy aren't an exact match it is the closest i have ever found.

    Besame Lipstick sampler available

I bought the sample pack from What Katie Did, which, being in Sweden, was more economical for me. I don't know if teh samples are larger now, but I read somewhere that the amount lipstick you get is equal to three of their smaller lipsticks, only you get three colours. They seem to last forever...

    your powder room....

We are planning to re-do our bedroom in a 1940's style, but as it's so tiny I had given up on having a vanity table. But after discussing it with my darling we think we can make it, so I have been looking for a small one. Just for fun I asked a co-worker if he didn't have one he needed to get...
