    The Ration Book Diet

Im shocking for in - between - as I said I like my candy! Not fussed with yoghurt or cottage cheese though, so will persevere with fruit. I was so busy today though that I didnt even really notice I was hungry until I got into the car!

    The Ration Book Diet

yay for you Lizzie! Im on day 2 - day 1 was a disaster as I had a 4 hour meeting that was catered with slices and muffins! Today was better. Porridge for breakfast, apple for morning tea, ham and cheese sandwich for lunch (out of "ration allocation") and just vegies for dinner (steamed -...

How often do you "set" your hair?

I have Crabtree & Evelyn talc powder. Is cornstarch the same as cornflour here in Australia? Used to thicken things?

How often do you "set" your hair?

I only wash once a week too - and even then I dont use shampoo - just bicarb and water!

How often do you "set" your hair?

Just wondering how many of you ladies only set your hair once a week - and how do you stop the greasies? I have heard of the baby powder method, but just wondering if anyone else had some ideas!

    The Ration Book Diet

Ive been on two weeks holiday from work, and frankly, sitting around home is too tempting!! However, I know that when 330 in the afternoon hits and im stressing and tired, I wander up to the vending machine for a can of coke and a chocolate bar! Though, so I dont go mad, I will let this...

    The Ration Book Diet

I start my diet next week - I received my Ration Book Diet book this week and found a book in the library that talks about rationing. Although I love tea from the pot (and tonnes of sugar in it too!) teabags at work etc are obviously more practical. 2oz of teabags is only 16 teabags - I...

    Brylcreem?

Run away from that hairdresser who razored your hair!!! I have naturally curly hair and razoring and/or "thinning" is the worst thing you can do for it!!

    Oil Cleansing Method

I bought some Almond Oil and Jojoba Oil as when I used the Oil and Castor Oil, it was a little drying to my skin. My skin came good last night and finally stopped burning/glowing late last night, it was so "raw" feeling that even when I laid down and my hair would brush my cheek there would...

    Oil Cleansing Method

Im feeling very  *yucky* today/tonight as my skin has been burning all day! I had a facial last saturday, and my skin loved it, so I bought the products which were all certified organic and natural with no chemicals and bought from a beauty therapist etc etc I used this skincare...

    Hair colour advice

It may only feel a little drier - so yes, give it some conditioning and if its really dry, then sacrifice the length in a month! The only time to really panic is when your hair gets that "jelly" feeling and starts to fall out! If your really worried, give it a protein treatment to...

    Baby Names? Vintage?

I just read somewhere that "Blossom" was popular up until around 1931 - when it disappeared off popular names lists.

    Baby Names? Vintage?

As much as I was called "Hayleys Comet" in school, my name is pronounced as you see it....not as Halley's Comet!

    Facebook anybody?

Ive noticed since they have the "New" Facebook that things seem to take longer than the old site did! I thought it was just me, but was a bit baffled since my connection is usually pretty fast

Have You Ever Met A Movie/TV Star or Celebrity?

Ive never met anyone famous - except Slim Dusty - who probably wont mean a lot to anyone not from Oz! My sister met Billy Connelly (who she is a big fan of) and my brother in law was dropping her off in the city so she could attend one of his shows, he couldnt go because she was given a...

How Vintage Do You Go? -merged thread-

Wow! What an interesting thread! Personally, I'd love to go back to a world where things were more simpler! Having said that, I do have a TV in my room - no antenna though, just for DVD's, and do use a microwave to warm things up. Other than that I like a lot of low tech living. After...

    Baby Names? Vintage?

Not so much Vintage - but my mum liked Hayley after she heard of "Hayley Mills" when she was younger. So Hayley I became! My middle name Anne....well, that's traceable right back to the Tudor period - very vintage indeed!
