Wow JP, thats amazing, it looks great. I never would have though to use the actual felt of the hat as a kind of molding clay for sculpture, the results are very dramatic! Keep up the great work.
PS - I love that light colored fedora with the rust ribbon you have on that page of other hats...
Great suit Ken, I love those lapels.
Sadly, all modern, but I do what I can with what I can (I'm the gentleman on the left, and on the right is my ever-talented attorney and animal trainer, Farnham54). hey Matt, any chance you could post a good one of the hunting jacket I wore on...
Hey Shamus, any chnace of getting up some pics of your half-belt? I saw a Highwayman at the QM summit and it resolved my desire to get a long half-belt. I don't know what kind of hide though, now that I'm hearing that the oil-pull bleeds color... what's the jerky all about?
I used to wear Jeans with 22" circumference when I was in Jr High School (I was a skateboarder back then and that's what was cool). it's just bizarre to see them on dress pants. I don't know how it would look on me but in the drawings it just seems off somehow. Of course, I would have to see...
B!Wear is great. Another good option is Hat People
I have hats from both and I can never decide which I like more. Sometimes I reach for my B!Wear and sometimes my Hat People.
Moxie is a uniquely New England (and primarily Maine) drink. It tastes like a kind of bitter root beer. I love it myself, and whenever I drink soda up in Maine it's primarily Moxie. A fun thing to do if and when you're up that way is to take a tour of the Moxie brewery.
Opinels are great. The best thing about then is though they're cheap they use a decent grade steel for the blade and you can get the RAZOR sharp. A friend of mine proved this to me by sharpening my opinel for me and then shaving with it! They're nice and lightweight if you're thinking of...
Man, you look great in those pictures! You really have the look down, and pull it off so naturally. I really like the one where you have the suit jacket off, the pants and tie are at a perfect height IMO. Sometimes I have difficulty finding at what height to have my pants but that pic is more...
I'm 23 in September, but I've been wearing brimmed hats since I was around 15 or 16. I've always loved the look so to hell with what anybody else thinks. I've gotten more complements on my fedoras than on any other single article of clothing I've ever owned.
When you say 23 inches in diameter what do you mean? Do you mean it's 23" in circumference, meaning around the inside sweatband of the hat? If so that makes it about a 7 3/8, which is a very popular size. You sholdn't have any trouble selling or trading for it.
I tend to think of it this way:
The things that lasted this long are the things that were not worn as much. Otherwise they would have undoubtably worn out. All this NOS clothing you find, the reason the seller has a 38s in perfect condition is because the original maker couldn't move it...
DiFara's is here in Brooklyn on Avenue J and E.15th street. If you're going be prepared to wait, because only Dominic makes the pizzas and he makes 'em fresh one at a time. Well worth it though, oh god I'm getting so hungry!
Katzs is awesome, and still one of the best Hot Pastrami sandwiches you can get in NYC. They will ship a salami anywhere in the world, and during WWII I believe, came up with the slogan, "Send a Salami to your Boy in the Army!"
As far as commercially available cheesecake goes, Juniors is the...
