I'd suggest wearing it for awhile. You always have the option of sending to Johnson Leathers for repair in a few months when it'll be too hot to wear it anyway, and in the meantime it might just fix itself. It's a handsome jacket- hate to see you lose it.

Just realized that Horween is located in Chicago, where I happen to live. Hmmm- wonder if it might be fun, (or even possible,) to pick out my own hide and have a jacket made from it...
Anyone ever done this?
Damn. Add a Tommy Gun and a blackjack and I could take you anywhere in Chicago. You'll fit right in!
Seriously, though, what an outstanding look! Bravo, Nik-

Ok- Carrie, here's my question for you; is there any way to gain an extra inch or two across the belly on a FQHH HB Deluxe? Maybe some sort of zipper replacement?
Love my Aero, but it's a bit more snug than I like.
Many thx-

I passed by a large photo of Mexican laborers picking vegetables today. Guess how the men were wearing their straw hats- yep, down in back to protect their necks from the sun, up in front so they could see what they were picking. Carlos didn't make a mistake, I believe he was saluting some...
Ha! I knew you had my build. 50 long is just my size.
I have a black FQHH Halfbelt Deluxe I may just put up for sale and order a Teamster.
BTW, scary dude is my favorite style.

Finally- a guy built like me! Nevada, would you mind telling me your jacket size? I normally take a 50 and I like that Teamster on you. Might be my next jacket. (I'm guessing from the picture that it's FQHH, right?)
Thx-

Well, being in my home town, I'm in for sure. Chicago doesn't have to be expensive. Get a good hotel five miles out of town near public transport and you're set-
I put my FQHH HB Deluxe in the dryer for 10 mins to soften up the waxes; then put it on, zipped it up and wore it around the house all evening. Have done that half a dozen times now, plus used the kitchen dish spritzer to spray hot water on the sleeves. Then you can roll them up like a flannel...
Hey Dave-
I'm wearing a very similar Federation today, but with a black Aero jacket. Your combo looks much better.
I'm in the process right now of choosing options for a new jacket. I really like the color and grain of yours. Could you tell me what hide that is? The grain pattern looks a...
Thanks so much, Eric. I'm just getting knowlegeable about the leather jacket manufacturers out there. My wife will be thrilled that I have a new obsession to go along with my hats...

Some fine lids there, gents. Iain, that's one of the nicest diamond creases I've seen- I may have to try that myself.
David, btw, I'm looking at having a new jacket made in seal brown to supplement my Schott and Aeros, which are black steerhide and horsehide. Could you give me a bit of info...
