Clothes
My wife and I just moved to a house that has probably over 50 linear feel of closet space... All the space is filled and all closets are full.. I use about five feet of it.. For the most part, my lot works for all seasons and occasions.. My wife, on the other hand does a massive...
Yes
OK.. I relent.. This thread has been sort-a like some versions of the prayer.. The ones that say and then he decended into Hades.. It has in fact came almost full circle.. I do like it when things end in a happy manner. It's tougher in this format that over a beer and a wing:D Ron
Correct
You are correct. I was referring to freedom, youth, women (can't leave that out) religion/prayer, beer and NASCAR! It's all in the delivery, isn't it.. Ron
Good man
Good man.. and I will certainly agree that "ratty dress" is just that. Thongs were never meant to be outside pants and "parts" should not normally protrude over the top of the bra! My wife and I often observe folks and shudder. I don't know where the sloppy-ness and vulgarity of...
It did go that way
It did go that way didn't it.. Just about everything I hold sacred has been added to the blame list by one side or the other.. :D :D
Relative
I believe you've hit on something there. Dress is/should be appropriate to the occasion. That being said, a lot depends on lifestyle and/or where you go/live. I have no "ratty jeans", "torn shirts" or "tennis shoes". I just don't have a use for them. I also have no suits, dress...
Possibly, possibly not.
First it's society, then women, then hippies, then blue laws, then prayer, what next? I believe it was kids... If everyone had stopped having kids in the 20's none of this would have happened:eusa_doh: Ron
Wow
I've been busy lately and have not spent a lot of time here. One thing.. This thread went to Hades "like very fast"! I'm not sure where to start here or to just close the browser.. Ron
Society
I agree with twitch.. It's like seeing someone every day for 25 years and they never change, but if you then don't see them for a year they're different people. Good manners are alive and well in the south, but are swiftly becoming a thing of the past. I'm often shocked with the lack...
Yep
Yep.. Yesterday I was walking into the store as a Mexican family was exiting. A couple witn two teenage daughters. As we passed one of the daughters let out a "YEEHAA"! I was wearing my Stetson cattleman, scully jacket, jeans, Dan Post boots and my silver belt buckle.. It happens...
Skew left
Well, I lowered the crown and it changed everything. It's sort-of a "sportster" now.. Ron

Hatband
Thanks Mike.. I hadn't thought about a rawhide band! I'm normally a horsehair guy, but with this hat it doesn't work. I'll try the rawhide. Here it is with the original Eddy band.. Thanks ron
<a...
Process
I started with steam and then went to hot water (didn't know any better:eusa_doh: ). It "downsized" a-bit so I steamed the band area and am wearing it now (cooking dinner actually) to get it back in shape. What do you think about the stingy brim? Thanks ron
Tapered
Thanks Dinerman.. Do you mean/are you saying that the crease is too low in the front? I thought about that as well, but it's creeping higher as it sets. Thanks Ron
First attempt
OK.. What does it need. I just noticed the 3 1/2" brim:eusa_doh: It's just not wide enough for a proper Gus:( I also think the crown is too high, but I'm not sure just how to rectify it. What do you folks think? Ron

Old Eddy throw-away
Folks.. I have an old (25) XX fur Eddy (cattleman) that was squashed flat long ago and curled up like potato chip. I was about to toss it when I read something on a web site regarding making a "character hat" rather than tossing them. I've been working on it today in an...
Cafe table
Two place mats.. We eat there most of the time.
Two snowflake candle holders and a snowman candy dish
Sandy's bible and self-help book of the day
Rands custom hat catalog
Three empty bottles (Whit Kirch, Blue Moon and Yungleng)
Moto Razr
Quite sad really..
It is a shame isn't it... The engineering advances made by the Germans in such a short period are unbelievable. Recently released footage, in the last couple of years, of German weapons tests say quite a lot.. Ron
