Yes but the good news is that it looks much worse than it is. It’s intact but with the unsightly surface tears. Leather is relatively supple so it must have undone an attempted stretch at some point. -

Thanks! Been steaming it and playing around with the crease since I posted. Looks better now. Great, thick, yet pliable felt. Very different than my Borsalino Ludorlas from the same era.
