Here's a picture of the Sage. The hat is actually a tad lighter but obviously green..

The Sage is green to my eye. Here's a link to a picture of the sand: http://www.one2miniranch.com/stetson-statoliner-special-edition-hemp-fedora/ You may have to select the color and a size to see it.

Hatters beware! American hatter threatens to sue over matches behind the ribbon!

I often stick a couple toothpicks in my hatband. You're all on notice! If I see any of ya'll copying my style we're going to court.

The Guatemalan palms are easy to stretch and shrink. All you need to do is wet them down and do as you will. To shrink them I usually just squeeze them by hand at the bottom of the crown. Tightening a belt, rope etc. around them works well if you want to be a bit more extreme.

That's what impressed me. It looks and feels a lot like fur.

I'm generally not a fan of the wool fedora. That said, I recently received some Biltmore Madisons and was impressed by the look and feel. They're made of a suede Merino wool.

It's my understanding ( and I could well be wrong) that a trilby is a hat with a brim under 2". Click on the link I sent a couple messages back to see pics on the website.

    Christy's of London

It sure looks like the ones I have. If so the brim is about 2 1/4".

That's an excellent price. I paid more than that and I got them at the closeout dealer price. Here's a link to what have left if it helps. http://www.one2miniranch.com/christys-of-london-genuine-fur-felt-foldaway-fedora-hat/

Since the Vented OR is doing so well I'm thinking that the eyelets would be the way to go. I guess I'll order a few next week and see what happens.

I just took a look at it online and may order a few. Any comments on whether it would be better with or without eyelets?

You're Welcome William! Looks like you got it to fit just fine. You'll find that the brims will tend to vary. These are handmade by a number of individuals in Guatemala. They are not exactly ISO Certified. Enjoy!
