So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Actually, ever since undergoing triple by-pass surgery 7+ years ago, it's something that crosses my mind. Fortunately, in Kansas I haven't had to shovel snow for about 5-6 years. The 2 inches we just got is the most snowfall we've had at one time in 5-6 years.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Some 30+ years ago we had a clothes line and my wife was on a jag about pinning clothes outside. I said fine but I forbid her from hangin my undies for all to see.:p

Men rings - How to choose? What do you wear?

Being too damn close to 70, have accumulated a number of rings over the years. Most of them are silver- onyx with silver, 3 native American rings, (a large turquoise, a multi-stone and a silver shaped as an eagle head), a lapis lazuli silver ring and 2 gold- an onyx and a garnet.

    Looking to Relocate ... Ideas?

Montana is beautiful, but the only time was there was in a February and air temps were -39F. Boise is much more temperate with fine mountain scenery.

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I've long watched the RRL thread at SF. Never owned any RRL. While I like many RRL designs, the discussions by owners on that thread suggests that many RRL pieces are substandard in terms of construction and/or quality of materials relative to price.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Not a mustard fan. As for my dogs, whatever I use must have some good heat to it when applied. Lately, have been using ketchup, but first I lay down a bead of horseradish sauce and then a bead of ketchup. Ketchup alone definitely wouldn't cut it.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Rather fond of peacoats. Have a US navy 1970ish peacoat once owned by my deceased brother-in-law which pretty much looks like that.

What Pipe Tobacco Are You Smoking Today ?

Most of the time I've smoked C&D bulk blends. Have been smoking Bayou Morning and Oriental Silk. Just ordered Orion's Arrow and Sutliff's Victorian match blend which I've smoked in the past..

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Been to Montana once some 4 decades ago to go downhill skiing at Big Sky. Beautiful country but would never live there due to their winter temps. Was there in February and the days I skied it was -39F without the wind factored in. Looking back on it I marvel how I handled that temp as now I...

    World War Greatcoats

Wore it today for the first time ever. Definitely will be great on cold blustery days. No tags exist though the coat in in great nearly new condition. Had 2 great uncles fight in WWII. One in Europe, 1 in the Pacific. Don't know the rank of the former, but the latter was an officer. Doubt he'd...

    World War Greatcoats

I've been hauling around a great uncle's greatcoat for decades and think I'll actually wear it this winter for once. Am incapable of posting photos but was wondering if someone could clue me in on whether it's likely to be WWI or II vintage-either is possible. It's camel colored, mid-calf length...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I've seen ultra-premium jeans advertised for sale-at high prices- on another forum with words to the effect, "owned 2 years and only washed once." Then I think "bio-hazard.":p Yeah, I just don't get that.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

As an aside on RRL, have never owned any but on an RRL fan thread at another forum I love to look at what's posted. Often like the designs but it has always baffled me as to its popularity as, even among die hard fans there, there often are comments about the dubious quality of materials or...

    Schott 141 - sz 46 $350

You sure wouldn't get 7-8 months in Kansas. High temps hit 80's in May and head up from there with 80's still occurring into October.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Nice hats-but you put on a suit to do yard work? New one on me.;)

What Have You Acquired From Family?

We live in Kansas and have a brick just like it in the brick walkway leading to our front door. Harkens back to the days when their were city ordinances against spitting on the walk.

What coffee or tea did you drink today?

Always has to be coffee at breakfast, but several times a week I'll drink some tea at lunch, too. Today was such a day-Brodie's Scottish Breakfast tea.

    Sexiest man alive turns 90

I'd probably go with Connery as best Bond. But, without a doubt. the Craig films were the best Bond movies. About a year ago I watched all the Connery films again and much too dated to appeal to me anymore.

    Over 50 wearing leather jackets

I don't see many leather jackets worn these days around here period. But, will say that, when I do, it's by middle-aged men. I do have an old, (cheap), jacket I wear-I'm 66.
