I like a lot of this stuff. The jackets in particular are all cut fantastically close at the waist. I also like the proportions on the double breasted suits. Some of the trousers could stand to have a higher waist, and one or two were a bit short, but overall I would wear probably 17 or 18 out...
Minivans are lousy for anyone significantly over six feet (as are SUVs). Also, is being higher off the road a good thing? I always found driving a low car to be most comfortable. I can feel where I am much better. The only reason minivans get better gas mileage is because they are new. Old cars...
I think that at your price range, your best bet would be to trawl ebay, or keep an eye on the classifieds here (or post wanted). You can definitely get a good hat for that price (if you are really patient, you can get 2, but that is tough.)

The alternative is Art Fawcett, at Vintage Silhouette's. He makes beautiful hats that are as good, if not better, than any vintage. However, waiting and finding just the right vintage hat is fun.
