    Five Stars does use a box. Seems to be why there's a crease. The two jackets I rceived in a box have creases. The two that came in plastic did not. Not everyone's experince, but I think it is becasue the boxes are very thin and lead to a sharp fold over of the leather.

    Nice one. I ended up buying one too. Unissued mint. Mine's a regular 108 chest. I'm six two and 185 pounds. They do sit longer. Fits well and the fabric is better than I remember. Pity it is 99 degrees (37C) tomorrow.

    It's really cool and your design and fit is perfect. Back in the 1970's younger men wore sheepskin vets - cowboys and bikers and urban hipsters. I had one back then (I was just a kid) it was a bit of a sloppy fit but I loved it. Your vest is that idea about done right.

    Isn't this normal for top coated leather? I have certainly owned a number of jackets which did this. My second Five Stars looked exactly like this. By contrast, if a jacket is aniline dyed, it goes right through the hide and never acquires quite the same scuffed look.

    Didn't we do this one before too? :D Have you wiped your jacket down with a damp cloth and soap or some diluted vinegar? White deposits on jackets is normal but leaving it there is not. Unless it won't come off.

    I don't think it is a question of what is 'allowed' and yes, that is up to the moderator. It's more a case of what amounts to good sense and fit. If more people thought and posted like you this site would effectively be eroded and given there is nowhere quite like this, that would be a shame...
