Richard Overton, Oldest US veteran, dies at 112
God bless him. I saw a news piece on TV a few years back when his town celebrated his birthday. It showed him trimming his hedges, very spry and alert. Cigars and whisky everyday. He seemed like a very nice and mellow gentleman. -

Red Wing vs. Chippewa Engineer Boots
Where are you guys finding your Red Wing engineer boots? The only engineer boot that I see offered by Red Wing is a model #988, and it does not look like a high quality traditional US made Red Wing boot. That’s all I’m seeing on the RW website. Thanks!- Kane

Just got my Red Wing 608’s back from a factory resole. I love these boots. Very light and comfortable, although the sole wears more quickly than my Vibram soled 899’s. This is my second resole for this pair of 608’s. I read were people are concerned about the break in time for Red Wing boots...- Kane

I hope they keep making the 1155. I think RW May have dropped the 899 from their catalog, which is a shame if they have phased it out.
