This time of year can (underlined several times) be the best time of year in London and SE England when the days are crisp, bright and cold and there is a light frost overnight. The same is true of early spring and late autumn (Fall for you chaps).

As I said, I find WPs perfect under a Barbour jacket for watching winter sports. And, when I played Rugger at school and university, I would wear a WP for the match tea afterwards, as did some of the other chaps.
