    My (small) A-2 collection

Nice jackets. I never had a real Avirex jacket but my first leather flying jacket in the 1980s was a Avirex copy, right down to the labels inside. I believe that 80s Avirex jackets are becoming somewhat collectable now. I have the same Cooper A2 as yours, also bought new about the same time...

I took this photo near some ancient standing stones in an ancient landscape. I didn't see anything in the woods when I took this photo (though I could 'feel' the strangeness of the place) but when I looked at the image at home I could see an optical illusion to the right. Can you see the...

    What Are You Reading

Just finished Love for Lydia (1952) by H. E. Bates. A young lower middle class journalist falls in love with a young aristocratic woman, Lydia Aspen, in the England of 1929. The story follows them thru the next couple of years as, slowly, he come to realise that she, in turn, doesn't love him...

    Summertime And The Front Porch

I don't have a porch, sadly. I do have a backyard with a patio which I use all year round. Regarding my neighbors, I have a wooden fence around the patio so I don't have to see them or speak to them as I value my privacy (the sidewalk is just on the other side of the fence).

I always wanted to take a Scenicruiser down Route 66. Though I have driven down parts of Route 66 I am too young to actually have been in one of these buses. I did, however, come across one in Arizona. I was looking at a thrift store window today and saw this toy one, made by Lledo of...

Does wearing leather jacket affects our health?

Well, my leather jacket saved me from needing skin grafts once so I guess it indeed affected my health.......for the better.

I do like the New England photos above. They all remind me of the romanticism of the Hudson River school of artists, especially of the works by Frederic Edwin Church and Thomas Cole. The photo of the crepuscular rays especially reminds me of Frederic Edwin Church. Have either of you been...
