Someone said they are NOT a natural material...
I wonder if that "Silicon" spray, used for car bumper parts, rubber mats, etc would rejuvenate, or destroy vintage rubber?
Or maybe "Armor All"? or a similar automotive product/conditioner?
I have used "Neutrogena", Norwegian hand...
Hi, Pip.
Not sure about the Swiss set-up.
I've seen these Tauern Sacks being touted as '30s, all over ebay.de
It didn't really dawn on me that it COULD be from the '30s until I realised what the "DRP" was. Yes, it's in great nick.
Maybe the DRP could be a red herring as to era but I see folks...
Ooh... oohh...
Speaking of vintage Rucksacks-
I know I'm a Rucksack Anorak but anyway...
My "latest" (maybe one of my earliest...) rucksack is here-
I collected it today.
It's a "Tauern Sack" DRP(Deutsches Reichspatent), which could point to it being of '30s manufacture (I like '30s...
Er... yes, I guess so.
But beyond that, the Swiss boots may not lend the "unique", or stand-out
appeal to a facet of your impression(boots), given the nature of the impression,
which could be regarded as "key".

there are many examples on the market, for small money-
although they are not exactly what we're looking for.
Some of them may be good as an over-garment for rough country,
in dry weather. Tough and abrasion resistant.
Does...
BTW-
BMWs and Range Rovers are among the top 5 of cars you see broken down
on the side of the road, or behind a tow truck.
"Premium" cars should not be in that top 5.

Another "Bobby" mention here:

"Twenty-five years ago I purchased a ventile cotton mountain-climbing anorak made by a British company called "Bobby Sportswear." It was the best outer garment I have ever owned and I wore it until I got "too...
"BOBBY" brand Anorak
Someone had, or was talking about a "Bobby" brand Anorak a while back.
Here's a link to a discussion of such an Anorak and Ventile cotton:

Some interesting fact-oids in that thread, on Ventile and its attributes.

Well- several people here, who WOULD and do recognise an original vintage leather jacket, have offered their opinions. Do you believe the "jacket manufacturer" over them? Has "he" actually said, or stated that he made the Willis jacket? Or is it just "marketing"- allowing you to believe that...
