Hi Everyone,
JJ hat center has the stetsonian as demonstrated here.

I took the liberty to email them today. First off, in my opinion 275 is a bit pricey for a hat that really lacks some quality control measures...
I ordered a size 60 Campdraft to be on the safe side, and it is spacious, so I pad it down. My opinion is that if I was going to mail order an expensive item, that really is not economical to return or exchange, err on the large size and pad it down- no complaints here, and I can remove the...
modified Akubra Campdraft; with I think, 1.25 inch ribbon by Buckaroo Hatters. The color match is really really close, really close- thanks again Mike!
My Christys adventurer experienced a similar outcome- not nearly as drastic. I suggest starting over- my limited experience suggests buying an oversized hat and padding down; as the hat conforms to your head circumference, any stress laterally to the crown will induce some tapering (as it is...
Campdraft Glengrey color with wider ribbon by "Buckaroo hatters" I purchased the campdraft back in November, 2012- wanted a winter hat with more brim. The federation just looked awkward IMO in many of the photos so I went with the campdraft as it seemed to have more heft... I wanted a more...
good to know- so do you think these hat shapers are a worthy investment then?
33 bucks isnt too bad i suppose, but the sewing of the parts seems to be a pain- care to opine on this?
this solution made me chuckle- the thought that went into this is brilliant.
Flying frequently between Israel and the USA, orthodox, black hat wearing Jews store their hats up top- no real problems. In fact those nice velour hats don't show any signs of wear and tear from being shoved into...
Just visited the hatshaper website- good site to have in my bookmarks.
you mentioned that your beaver brand is a long oval; how did this straight sided dome shape compare with your presumably long oval head?
Interesting to note, I recently saw a straw hat (women's I think) that was all straw but had the same color design. Wish I had taken a photo. the style, felt combo aside is very attractive.
Very happy to hear Carl is on the mend. Sounds like he underwent CABG, which since the 80's has seen dramatic improvement in outcomes. Really wishing you both all the best- lots of support here.
depends how much crown you have to work with, but I recently did this to my Christys and my Sunbody. The sunbody, has less crown, I supported the front corners from inside the crown using my fingers and then pulled the c into a diamond...i had to coerce this as the hat is not designed to have...
reasonable suggestion too...on second thought it is actually the best investment here since it will let him try out both hats and the vintage block on the same purchase- good call.
Go gray. start with the conservative style then branch out as you grow comfortable.
these look similar to the christy's or that other brand ..olney....probably a good starter hat for you.
