@Guppy thank you for these great pics! I actually prefer the non tumbled look and I always appreciate a jacket that can stand up ;). I also think tumbling creates a more uniformed broken in look VS naturally worn in jacket with still quite stiff collar and pocket especially a D pocket.

If it really bothers you - there is a nuclear option which is to wash the jacket in cold water with little or no detergent - use a soft towel or sponge to wipe clean the whole jacket under water in a bathtub. Drain by leaving it in bathtub then place flat on a towel. When still damp but not...
If you try to wipe the whole collar and you accidentally tough the shoulder area which can easily be done - you might get the stain on shoulders too…
I would just ignore it - just wear it.

OMG - you should consider taking orders if not done so already! What amazing talents!! I know of a lady in UK who offers to make repo jackets - she sometimes asks for a well fitted jacket to be sent to her for pattern making.
So I washed my suede car coat in cold water with shampoo and dried flat and it turned out great. Only thing is collar became quite dry /stiff. Anything I can apply to soften it? Rest of the coat is lovely though velvety suede.
