New Aero - Hem alterations

Does anybody have experience reducing the hem on their leather jacket? I received a made to order Aero Half Belt (50s) about two weeks ago. Attached some pics below. Unfortunately I overlooked the hem measurement when ordering - chalk it up to be new in this space. When zipped up, there is quite a lot of flare at the bottom. Unzipped it is better, however you can tell it’s too wide for my waist. I can take better pics tomorrow

This model has this cut. Try tightening the belts on the waist. This should improve the situation.

If you have a really good leather cutter, it'll work. If you don't have one, I'd skip it.

Using the side adjusters makes the flare at the hem worse

There is a shop close to me that has been doing leather for 40 years, I’ll see if they can do it confidently

In this case, it’s better to return the jacket and avoid having to redo it.
