I'm 61 and have a black cafe racer. Seeing Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in his has me rethinking this particular style choice LOL. Any of you fellow old dudes still wearing yours?

Every time I see Jensen wearing his I think it looks terrible and as a billionaire he could get a better one. I don't even know why he chose to always wear it, my guess is he wants it to be his version of Jobs' turtleneck.

that's exactly what it is. he's even used the famous steve jobs cliche' line that he and all the other techbros that copy jobs have used - that his brilliant thoughts are too important to waste on something so trivial as choosing an outfit so he just grabs his jacket lol. Thing is though, he has a bunch different ones that he chooses from, so there goes that excuse. And when asked why he chose leather jackets he says, like a true leather tough guy, it's because he has itchy skin and they don't make him itch. He also said that his wife and daughter buy them for him. But we all know the real reason he buys and wears them...because he's going through a mid-life crisis and wants to be a techy rebel bad boy.

And that's the thing, I don't want people chuckling at me and thinking 'look at this try-hard' the way I do him :(

And yeah, I think his particular jackets look corny as sh!t. They are apparently high-end fashion brands that cost upwards of $5K. A vintage or vintage style jacket wouldn't be as bad, but then again Elon wears vintage leather jackets sometimes and looks like a massive tool.

I’m 67 and I wear CR’s often. I guess I should be happy I’m not a billionaire and that nobody cares about my appearance enough to state an opinion publicly. I wonder if he has an opinion on your sense of style?

I am 63 years old and only started to wear Aero and SB leather jackets two years ago. Since then I have been buying and selling various jackets to find the best style for me. I think that I look best in clean and simple styled jackets as the Aero Highwayman and my SB Café Racer. However, I feel always attracted to jackets in the ‚Wild ones style‘. I own a nice clean version of an Areo Ridley Thurston Bros. jacket without belt. When I look in the mirror I am not quite sure if it’s cool or ridiculous in my age. ‍♂️

His Belstaff with a mouton actually looks very good, the problem is that he's wearing it at least 2 sizes smaller than he should and he would be unable to zip it up, showing a pregnant belly in the process. It works for Jeff Goldblum and his YSL cause he's thin.

I am a couple of days off 48, which I consider to be reasonably old (or I more frequently, at least, consider age in terms of what I wear: I'm either very formal or t-shirt/flannel shirt, jeans/cargo pants and weathered boots type of person). I think I only ever feel self-conscious in leather jackets if they are new. If the jacket looks well worn-in or smashed up, it suits me (who now looks quite well worn-in and smashed up, too): longevity of ownership seems to signal long-term use, which in turn suggests to others that it's part of a personal style. New jackets seem to imply trying to appear a certain way to create an effect. I quite happily wear the brown CR below; the blackened brown one I will only feel ok in when it's suitably mauled. I wear it less because it isn't bashed, which means it will take longer to get more wear... if you see what I mean.

The main thing isn't age as much as fitness, though: a lean person looks better in almost anything than a larger person. It is unfortunate (I am far from thin), but I think it's true. Other people may well have different views and it's only my two cents' worth.

I hear you, I had a Ridley but sold it. Not because I didn't like it but because it was too snug to wear anything but a tshirt under.

One thing that makes a big diff is going with classic designs that look tasteful VS these fashion jackets with corny elements such as too many zippers, etc. That must be the main culprit in what's turning me off about the Nvidia guy.
