Congrats on joining the Bowler crowd! Everyone should have a couple. ( or three... or four) . Fortunately Ive never found one in grey or silverbelly or Id have 5 lol. Theyre a must have when your channeling your inner John Hartford Rick, these are all awesome but that brown one is calling...

Amazingly, there are, at least, two of these O.F. Hess hats in the world still left, @mayserwegener 's from last July and now mine, received while I was away. Same crown patch and hatband (while clearly not the exact same hat, per photos). My comment, under his post from above, made the point about how much I loved this find of his and now I'm even more excited to have one of my own.

Thank you sir. That's just one wall in my hat room. All four are covered and I also have 6 hat trees in there plus about 40 or so hats in another room. I got it BAD, what can I say ? Bwahahaha !

Good morning. My dog soirree was enjoyed wearing a Stetson Avenue. Glorious felt, ribbon work and edge treatment.

Hess Soft Felt Hat was made at this factory. May I ask how you found this O. F. Hess Soft Felt Hat? You can see info on O. F. Hess and Karil Misík on website.

I believe it was up for an auction on eBay from a seller of a few hats, but mostly other collectables. I put in a substantial bid, obviously wanting the hat and hoping to scare any high bidders out of the gate. Clearly, whatever I did worked and I got it for $53 + shipping at cost.

So many wonderful hats.
I’ve recently been able to experience, for he first time, a couple of vintage Stetsons from the 40s and 50s. Bought a couple for my better half. A late 50s OR, 7x Clear and a late 40s Royal Stetson Deluxe.
The OR is perfect? Can I use that word? Can’t imagine a hat being of higher quality and craftsmanship.
The RSD will melt your heart. Pictures cannot convey hoe nice looking it is. Everyone who sees it utters the same thing, “it’s beautiful” They’re actually afraid to touch it.
I can understand how y’all get so addicted to this. It’s like buying little pieces of art.
