The Open Road Guild

Yours is only the second 65 box I've seen
Mine being the first.
I have one (actually three or four) as well. Single squares (which I see often) and a shop round (for 3-4 hats) which I have not seen before mine. I THINK I posted in the hat box thread but if not here they are on display above my shop cabinets.

Nice!
I mostly avoided 60s stuff like the plague until recently.
I'm glad I outgrew that ignorance.
The hat is beautiful.

Nothing in the world quite like these early 50s Open Road hats.
Especially in less common colors like this brown.
If you have an Open Road addiction like me you’ll definitely dig the Felt In Form YouTube channel.
I’ll link one of the videos below the photos.
Take a look and join the family.

Here’s another question when searching for these vintage 100’s: should you try and size up due to shrinkage? I see some with those beautiful original sweatbands and would hate to lose that.

No. Ask for length x width measurements if you are concerned. Some of you seem to have run across many vintage hats that have shrunken but that’s not been my experience.

Dittos. The shrinkage over time thing seems to have become rather axiomatic around here lately. I have never bought a vintage 7 1/4 that didn't fit me. And the off sizes that do fit are usually larger 7 1/8 hats.
