Looking for a good Buco J21 reproduction – any suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a proper Buco J21 reproduction, something as close to the original as possible in terms of design, leather and overall construction.

I know Eastman and Whitefeather make some really good reproductions, but I'm wondering if there are other makers worth looking at.

There's also an older Diesel J21-style jacket for sale not too far from me. Has anyone had experience with these older Diesel jackets? How would you rate them in terms of leather quality, construction and how close they are to the original Buco?

Would you consider the Diesel a decent alternative, or would you rather spend more and get a proper reproduction from one of the specialist makers?

Would appreciate any suggestions or experiences. Thanks!

Bryceland’s are the only ones as far as I’m aware that make a J-21 reproduction.

The owner of Bryceland’s owns an original J-21 and that’s what he based the pattern off of. As such, it’s an extremely short jacket just like the originals.

I saw this jacket in person when I was in Japan a few months ago. It’s as high a quality as you can get, it’s just VERY expensive.

As for Diesel, I think they based theirs off a J-22. Don’t have experience with this jacket personally but maybe @Mysteryo can chime in, I believe he owned one.

Thanks! I really like the cropped cut of the J21. There seem to be so many modern replicas of the J24, but the longer cut just doesn’t look like a proper biker jacket to me. The shorter J21 has more of the look I’m after.
