RTP Price 1690 USD (Schott website) - also no longer made in the USA, like mine is
Asking Price 990 USD (Includes shipping + Taxes)

  • Schott NYC’s Classic B-3 Sheepskin Leather Bomber Jacket

  • Unmatched warmth and durability, natural shearling lining and heavyweight Shearling leather shell.

  • Inspired by WWII flight gear, this iconic bomber combines functional cold-weather performance with timeless military-style details for everyday winter wear

  • Origin: B-17s and B-24 airplanes were not pressurized and the unheated cabins got awfully cold at altitude. This sheepskin jacket kept our bomber crews warm during their perilous missions in the skies over Europe.

  • PTP: 22 in.
    Shoulder: 18.75 in.
    Sleeve: 26 in.
    Shoulder to hem: 26.75 in

    • Heavyweight Shearling
    • US Origin Sheep skin (chrometanned), Shearling, with Cowhide seams
    • Leather Welted Seams
    • Heavy Duty Hardware, in branded brass
    • Buckled Collar and Waist Adjustment Straps
    • Two Front Handwarmer Pockets
    • Made in U.S.A.
Nowadays, Schott jackets may not necessarily be made in U.S.A anymore, with regional and diffusion lines possibly leading to them being manufactured in Europe or Asia. My jacket is one that is made in U.S.A - which is listed on the tag

That’s really nice! Though it looks like Schott adopted Aero’s sizing philosophy… maybe add “fits like a 42” to the title?

I don't think that's true in my experience with this jacket

So I'm a true 38 (suit jacket) and I wear 38 in almost everything (except Japanese brands) and this Schott size 36, while it's an an oversized boxy fit, it's actually quite snug around the shoulders for me because of the thick shearling. For reference I wear a 38 in Harley Davidson as well. Size 36 for this Schott model was what was recommended to me in store.

It's hard to describe but sometimes wearing a super thick sweater it actually feels a bit tight. Thankfully, you don't really need to wear layers underneath this cause it's a beast when it comes to warmth.

I listed the measurements in my post but here's some pictures for reference on the fit - I'm 180cm (5'10.5") and 72kg (158.4lbs).

They also have a digital fit guide on their website for the product, and when I key in my details it puts me in-between a 36 and 38 depending on my fit preference (slim or standard).

By the way, in the link you provided it states that it is made in the US
You're right, it does state that on the product page!

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I just wanted to point out that currently on the jacket itself they state "U.S.A" and vs what they used to say - "Made in U.S.A". As you can see on my jacket label vs. the current product offered now.

The core main lines of Schott are still be made in the U.S.A, but also nowadays you're able to make that claim that as long as some part of it is assembled to be in the US.

Just some notes from google and some articles:
  • Global Sourcing: While the assembly remains in the U.S., raw materials like leather hides are increasingly sourced globally, such as from Mexico.
  • Imported Lines: Certain licensed or regional diffusion lines (such as specific European or diffusion items labeled Schott LC) have been outsourced to countries like China or India, but iconic main-line products like the Perfecto remain American-made
Granted, whether or not this current product is fully sourced and assembled in the US nowadays, I actually have no idea. I don't think I claimed that what they're currently offering isn't fully sourced and Made in the U.S.A. I do know that mine is tho! I bought it in-store in Chicago.

Quoted from my original post:

Hope this clarifies what I meant!

Attached are some photos of the label from the current website listing vs what it says on mine - make of that what you will :)

I am familiar with the lc series that are made in Europe and/or China; they actually have a size tab with the US flag (no "made in..." text though), probably to trick the untrained eye.
The past years I remember Schott used the made in the USA size tab, but on another tab they mentioned "made in the US of imported materials", or something similar.
I also know that some US shoe brands make their products in Central America and then finish off the details in the US so they can label them as MIU.
Annoying I know.
Good luck with the sale!

Thank you! Apologies if I seemed to be ****ting on current schott products, that was definitely not my intention

I had just read a few reviews on this particular model comparing the USA pieces to a few Europe ones and apparently there was a huge difference?

I'm sure they still do amazing work but when you grow that big sometimes things slip
