Wearing my black Akubra Snowy River, pairs pretty darn well with my Wested Leather jacket... and pairs with pretty much anything , too. It's a pretty versatile hat overall, IMO.

Oh, HELLZ, yes!!! And, it may be a shade older than your original estimate. According to a 1921 Rapid City Journal article, Lathrop-Reeves came into existence (under that name) in 1899, and then became just Reeves Mercantile in 1904.

Sweatband's got a little wonky spot in the back, but I can wear it just fine. Felt is nice and dense. Holds it shape. This is not a nudge it out of alignment by accident hat.

Terribly bright sunbeams filtering through the trees this morning so the lights playing havoc with the camera. Theres not nearly as much dust on the felt as it shows lol

Todays lid is a nice little Orvis furfelt. 3" brim. Dense but soft felt

My second new Vanzina Pavia in as many days, this one is a charcoal/brown with a unique brown/bronze-ish hat band. This may be an original Vanzina, as the white celled tag is not Borsalino and seems older than the '78 Borsalino I posted previously.


This actually captures the colors best.
