Yeddo boater for services yesterday morning. I always liked this boater because the unique vents. The original ribbon was rotting away so I had another made. I was surprised to see that the original golden colored ribbon was actually green!. It's amazing what sunlight and time will do.

Saturday morning with a little help from Meyer the Hatter in New Orleans.. Nice lightweight hat with a really smooth finish. Other than the Meyer liner logo there are no markings on the hat. Dont know if they finished hats in house, or if they just bought from other manufacturers. This one looks a lot like a couple of Resistol dress hats Ive got

A magnificent Meyer, man!

I’m a bit tardy, but welcome to (and enjoy) your 8th decade, Rick!!

One of my favorite wide ribbon Stetsons today. This ones a wonderfully soft hand that molds like clay without steam.. no excess stiffener

First post. I've worn two hats today. I wore a Stetson straw Fedora because it's going to be like 130 degrees this afternoon in Southeastern Illinois. Upon seeing that it is, in fact, Felt hat day I switched to a Borsalino Grey Diamante...which I love, and my wife hates--but she does not wear it. I may have to buck the season and go with straw the rest of the week because the temps are supposed to be insane.

Cool hat. Nobody much cares about Felt Hat Day, as far as I can tell. It only works in the Northeast. Everywhere else the weather doesn't match. These guys all wear what they want. Half the summer I was sitting in my office running the AC with a heavy felt hat on my head lol.
