Double Helix Works?

It's washed horsehide, thick but still supple if it's like other washed horsehide I've handled. But I'm wondering if calling it predistressed would be accurate.
I don't think distressing is accurate because leather doesnt form grain like that from natural distressing.

My understanding is they do some extra shrink in addition to the normal amount in the veg tan process.

Is anyone able to compare double helix and Tenjin works? I’m looking to pick up a casual uncolored/natural veg tanned jacket like the 1930s or hugging the curve vs the js01/03. Both similar price points. DH does seem to offer more customization though I think I can get away with stock size. Tenjin speaks to me a bit more but there’s way less reviews of them online and the wait time is like a year vs 3 months with DH. I’m in the US for reference and looking to order directly from both.

Jacket came a day early and tbh fits differently than my other three (aero j106, rmc j100, schott 689), but in a very good way. Snug all around and gonna feel even more special when broken in. I doubt I can layer like the j106 but this would be for slightly warmer weather. I am pretty sure I am done

Leather is thick but very soft and pliable from the get go. smell is incredible! I can only imagine when it molds to me it will get better. If there is anything I can change maybe add 1/2 inch to the sleeve but this length works. Like that it adds diversity to my small collection.

I also wanted to add the stitching is very consistent and tight. Excellent meticulousness.
Here's a pic of some of it. loving the contrast b/t the navy and brass too!

Didn't realize my comment could be interpreted in such a negative way, I meant it would have been great to talk to a jacket enthusiasts IRL.

I'm from Finland by the way...

Yes that is correct, great little shop, too bad the salesmen didn't basically speak English
Yep they had a lot of jackets all cramped in and I didn't find the two of them particularly friendly tbh. Im glad you got a nice jacket though.
