Would you wear a ladies jacket if it fits better than a mens ?

Picked up a well used and battle scarred made in 1999 GAP Ladies Gold / Tan trucker for £50. It fits me perfectly. It's really weird fastening buttons on the wrong side but I absolutely love it. I don't know whether or not they ever made a mans version in this color ? Would you wear it ?

Other than buttons on the opposite side it bears no marks of being a woman's jacket, no **** seams or similar, so I see no reason not to wear this as a man.. if it fits you well, why not?

A whole inventory of jokes comes to mind here, but I don't know if the censors would approve LOL.

That said, if it fits and has a uni-*** look, why not? It isn't always easy to find a piece that fits well.

Absolutely. I ordered a vintage women's harley davidson recently, as it was a size 40. Unfortunately the sleeves were too short, as was the length.

If it looks good, fits good, and looks appropriate, I would definitely wear it. Most women's jackets, however, do not have the right proportions, measurements, and looks unquestionably "feminine."

If the buttons where on the other side you would never know. I just bought a Mister Freedom Campus and TBH the fit is almost identical.

No, the buttons/zipper on the wrong side would drive me nuts.

I wouldn't like to run into the woman who's jacket would fit me, but as long as it's not obviously a girls jacket maybe. Maybe. I don't know.

I think it would depend on the local temperature and just how much of the cold I'd be feeling. That, and the jacket having more "male oriented" design cues than female. That said, in the 42 years we were married before my wife died she never gained enough weight so that I'd fit into her jackets, so I guess that would ultimately be the deciding factor.

What you need is a missus as talented with needle and thread as mine. She could sew up those buttonholes, then hide her work with the transposed buttons. After that the point where the buttons once were, would become buttonholes.

Maybe your missus would consider doing the alterations for me, paid for of course ?
