Don't let the ****ty pics in front of a spotty mirror put you off, the jacket and the colour are superb.
Unfortunately the zipper pulls both (!) broke on the first full day of use. I emailed Kimura about it and he offered to send new ones out. I said not to bother as I didn't trust the quality - I'll rig something up myself out of brass hardware I have and some micro-cord that's on order.
Sorry I’m a little late to this conversation but I was in Yellowstone National Park well cell service is virtually nonexistent. Have to say it’s nice to unplug sometimes.

Regarding your zippers, I think the situation is unacceptable. DH should replace them for you and they should cover the expenses. They’re a class act so I’m sure they would agree.

I could quote you the reply, but the tldr is they offered to send the pulls and no other compensation.

Well, that’s a bummer. I guess if it’s easy enough to swap out, it’s no big deal. But if it’s complicated, they should definitely warranty it.

The sliders both look solid, I'm getting some micro cord and will attempt a few knots like the boy scout I never was.

Took the jacket on its first highway cruise yesterday, felt very comfy at 100kph, which is the top speed of my little Vespa. Went out to the beach for a short visit with friends and then back into town, about 3 hours round trip.

Awesome! Is the zipper fixed?

The sliders themselves were fine so I drilled them out just enough to accept little snap rings and then tied on simple shoelace-based pulls. I may sub in more substantial #10 brass ball chain. In the meantime I’m enjoying the quieter alternative.

Actually, looking again I see that I only had to drill out the one slider, the other still had the loop available.

Hi guys,

I’m considering the HtC model and thinking of going custom mostly due to not really being a teacore fan.

I saw a post here on tfl while doing research that I can’t find again, I seem to recall there was a black deerskin version of that model, was it a once only option or a collab?

I ask because I don’t see deerskin anywhere in the our leather or MTO pages.

The other leather option I’m considering is the black core hh but don’t know if there’s a difference between what they call “oiled wax black core hh” on the MTO page and the “black core hh black full aniline” on the our leather page?

And regardless, could anyone share their impressions, all I keep reading is that oiled wax is not as shiny as teacore semi-aniline.

Tia.
I’ve only handled their black semi aniline tea core HH and their seal brown full aniline HH so I’m not sure about the other options you’ve mentioned. I recommend emailing them with your questions. They are very responsive and should be able to help you out. Please share what you learn with us :)

Regarding oiled wax black core and black core full aniline, they are the same.

But they also have a washed horsehide option that is black core full aniline, they call it horse queen for some reason.

I’m Japanese.
I came across this site while researching DH leather jackets. I don’t speak English, so I’m using ChatGPT to translate this for me. Please forgive me if anything sounds strange.

I’m a martial artist who practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I weigh over 100 kg, so it’s very difficult for me to find clothes that fit me well. I heard that DH offers custom orders and can make a jacket that fits even someone my size.

I ordered the following:

UNUS RC0101
Size: 56
Leather: Olive
Lining: Navy wool
Sleeves: shortened

I’m really looking forward to receiving it!
Welcome to the lounge!

Did you jacket ship?

Mine is almost a month delayed at this point - I ordered on 5/22

Kimura said the order should ship this coming week but I’m a little disappointed in the delay

Thanks god I don’t follow people here bc it’s all full of s… lol
DH is a nice brand and in the end if you want a better jacket then spend more money that’s it end of the story. Can’t compare apples to oranges and to the ones talking **** about fine creek leather jackets they’re just haters lol
